Founded in 1964 by Michael and Margaret Moriarty, this family owned and run business has offered and continues to offer you our discerning customer, premium quality merchandise and a customer service which is second to none. We have specialised in Mail Orders since 1964 and offer guaranteed duty free mailing to the U.S.A. When visiting Ireland, visit our store at the beautiful Gap of Dunloe where you can view for yourself our extensive selections ranging from Aran Knitwear, Irish Linens, Gents Sports Jackets, Waterford Crystal, Galway Crystal, Hummel, Irish Dresden, to name but a few. 2. HOW DO I PLACE MY ORDER?
3. WHAT CREDIT CARDS ARE ACCEPTED BY MORIARTYS? We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express Cards. Your Credit Card details are received via SSL – Secure Socket Layer Technology – the Internet’s gold standard, whereby it is received encrypted and can only be decoded by MORIARTYS. It’s security is guaranteed.  4. PRIVACY POLICY. MORIARTYS guarantee all our customers that all information received through ordering goods from the online shop, and any e-mail enquiry or online form filled out by our visitors will be kept strictly confidential, and will never be shared with a third party. Your personal information will not be used for any purpose other than the normal functions of the site (order processing, fulfillment and sales). We respect and guarantee your privacy. As a customer of MORIARTYS, we assume you will be interested in receiving updates of new product additions to the website or shop, or any other special offers we may be running. Your e-mail address will be kept in our secure database and used only to confirm your order and to send out updates. There is an opt-out facility available on each mailing, which gives you control over whether you wish to continue receiving our newsletter. (Ian can you please add this facility)?? 5. WHAT ARE THE SHIPPING RATES? Our shipping rates include, full postage, packing, insurance and duty prepaid to the U.S.A. Insurance coverage is for “Full Replacement Value” of any items lost or damaged in transit. Moriarty’s customers in the U.S. will not be obliged to pay any additional fee, customs or State Tax, other than the mailing cost quoted at time of placing your order. All packages are delivered by UPS
For shipping to any other country, please e-mail us for quotation. 6. HOW LONG DOES SHIPPING TAKE? We will endeavour to despatch all items within one week of receipt of order, but we may require up to 21 days in some circumstances where we are sold out of stock. We will e-mail you, the customer, and inform you if we anticipate any major delays. Delivery to U.S.A. (by UPS) will be by surface mail post, which normally takes from three to six weeks from date of despatch. Alternatively, you may choose Airmail Delivery which takes approximately 14 working days. This will be subject to a supplement determined by order size/weight. Please e-mail for quotation. For shipping to any other country, please e-mail us for shipping details. 7. CAN I ORDER BY FAX OR TELEPHONE? If, for whatever reason, you don’t wish to order online, you can place your order by fax or telephone. Just print off a copy of your order form and fax it through to us at +353 64 44527. Alternatively, have your order details to hand and call us at +353 64 44144. 8. CAN I CANCEL MY ORDER OR RETURN MY GOODS? MORIARTYS have for the past 40 years, operated under the motto of – Courtesy, Care and Consideration, and our reputation has been built on supplying finest quality merchandise and a service to our valued customers which is second to none. This would not be possible without the goodwill of you, our customers. Any purchase may be cancelled or exchanged prior to shipment by contacting our Customer Service Representatives. If the goods have already been despatched, and if you are not completely satisfied with any unused item, (unless the item is personalised), you may return it within 14 days of receipt for a prompt refund or credit, without incurring any charges other than the direct cost of returning the goods to us. This applies to all merchandise except: Goods which are personalised to your requirements. 9. DAMAGED GOODS? Our packing department at Moriartys is exemplary, and to compliment it, and ensure safe delivery, we use the services of UPS to deliver the merchandise safely to your door. In the unlikely event of any item(s) being received damaged or lost in transit, please notify us by e-mail, fax or telephone immediately. As all items shipped are fully insured for 100% of their value, Moriarty’s will replace the item(s) and refund the return costs involved. If we cannot replace the item(s), we will refund the original purchase price, plus return costs incurred. 10. CURRENCY EXCHANGE RATES. The prices quoted on the order forms are based on exchange rates at time of placing your order.
